I love seeing the seldom seen. One approach was to photograph the subject up close with the 300mm lens. This technique allowed me to crop and zoom in on the details. I tried lens extender but the depth of field was a problem for me.


Another example of the details. Who gets to see a hummingbird this close? The light was not always favorable. I would have preferred to see his eyes clearly.

But the detail in the feathers was always impressive to my eyes.
